Meiselgeier

Rock music of the 70s (for over 50 years)
Founded in 1972 – the 8 members of the rock cover band Meiselgeier from Wendland have been playing the great hits of their idols such as Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Carlos Santana and many others from this period for 50 years now, whereby Meiselgeier does not see itself as a simple cover band, but much more as a band that loves the rock music of the 70s and then brings this across at their concerts.
The band has made a name for itself in northern Germany in particular (but not only) and has built up quite a large fan base. With performances at the legendary Jimi Hendrix Revival Festival on the island of Fehmarn (2007 and 2010) and their annual appearances at the Downtown Bluesclub as well as at the Harley Days in Hamburg, they have played their way into the hearts of many people.
The skills of the strong rhythm section with the two percussionists Barny Rathje and Jochen Hahn Röhrs, the drummer Sebastian Meyer and the bassist Volker Christ really come into their own with the songs by Carlos Santana. Guitarist Muckel Rathje has dedicated himself to the typical Santana guitar sound and playing style. Of course, he is not the original, but he comes very close to it at times. The whole thing is then reinforced by keyboardist Andreas Sauck, who completes the sound of 70s rock music with his keyboard sounds and the original Hammond organ. Singer Christian Lammers, even though he was still very young when this music and this sound conquered the world, knows how to give the songs the right punch with his rocking voice.
